Bill 115 Hearings March 18, 2009
The Standing Committee on Social Policy and Justice will hold hearings on March 18, 2009 in respect of Bill 115 which is an Act to amend the Coroners Act. Interested parties should notify the committee clerk by March 10, 2009 if they wish to make an oral submission. Written submissions will be received up until 5:00 p.m. on March 18, 2009.

The Coroner's Office is currently investigating a death of a mother who was under CAS pressure at birth to give up her child. The mother committed suicide and now an investigation is underway involving OPP into the matter.
